Nigel Cutts : LISTEN – THINK – SPEAK!
An interactive workshop with Nigel Cutts based on the latest work around the quality of our thinking and aimed at helping absolutely anyone improve their speaking skills.
We all think clearly, don’t we?
Or at least we think we think clearly!
Most of us have certainly spoken before we have thought at some time or another!!
Listening is a core human skill and yet it is so seldom formally taught that it never appears on any educational curriculum.
Thinking is a second core skill vital to anyone’s education and yet again it is not formally taught.
Our public Speaking and presentation skills are something we are all mad keen about improving.
Simply connecting these three thoughts can make a huge difference to how we speak.
What if in one session you could understand how really Listening profoundly affects our Thinking? It’s only a short step from there to knowing that the quality of our Speaking could be equally affected.
Through an interactive workshop which will help you connect your ears, mouth and brain Nigel will introduce you to some techniques so simple that you really will come away wanting more. You will also get a chance to practice your ability to “Listen – Think – Speak!”
Listen! Don’t you Think that’s worth 45 minutes of anyone’s time? Speak up!
Nigel is a Toastmaster of over twelve years experience and in that time has held virtually every club officer role at least once. He started his TM career with London Corinthians and when that club became too big he, along with his wife Gilly and several others, founded London Cardinals and was its founding President.
Its mentoring programme is a huge factor in the club’s success – everyone in the club is assigned a mentor and encouraged to use them. One of Nigel’s mentees is Simon Bucknall, the twice District 71 International Speech Contest Winner. He was also, in 2006, Deputy Division B Governor for Education.
His professional career meant that he frequently had to speak in public but, after 30 nerve-racking years, Toastmasters turned that experience from a chore into a real pleasure.
Nowadays he spends his time teaching thinking skills to those senior business leaders he coaches and mentors and spreading the word about the value of Independent Thinking.
