About Helen
Helen started her association with Toastmaster’s whilst still in her teens. This early exposure to Public Speaking, Personal Development & Leadership encouraged her to set-up H-TRAINING, the Management Training & Development Business she founded in Cork 1989. Since then she has worked, nationally, with public and private sector organisations and individuals in the areas of Leadership & Management Development. She believes that good leadership begins with self management and this is also the focal point for the session she delivers on ‘Manage Conflict Effectively and see the Benefits’.
Helen is currently Division A Governor and looks after five areas in the south west of Ireland. She passionately believes that the mission and values of Toastmasters offer tremendous opportunities to individuals in today’s challenging times.
An accomplished speaker, management facilitator, coach & mentor with over 20 years experience managing conflict, Helen believes that conflict is universal and the skills to resolve it are valuable to every organisation and individual.
In her commitment to her own ongoing professional development, Helen completed a Masters in HR Management for University of Leicester; as well as a Masters in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM). She is currently concluding a third Masters in Strategic Leadership & Executive Management also with ILM.
