Michael J Clarke

I’m a 53 year old chartered accountant working for a housing association in Grimsby, but live near Goole in East Riding of Yorkshire. I live with Gillian Caldicott, my partner and fellow team member.

I’m close to achieving my DTM after being a founder member of Leeds City Toastmasters in 2002. I’m also a member of York EbOrators, Chesterfield Speakers and the pre-charter club in Hull, Kingston Communicators. I’ve just finished a year as Division E Governor and was supposed to be taking it easier, but that isn’t my way. The Conference and working on setting up two new clubs, at least, is keeping me, almost, out of mischief.

I love Toastmasters and have always believed that the more you put in, the more you get out. And that is why I get so involved – plus it’s fun meeting so many new people. As someone once said – Toastmasters Do It With Their Mouths!
