Lynn Gregory

Hi, I became a member of York EbOrators Toastmasters a few weeks after its birth. I gained my Competent Communicator award in June ’06, Competent Leader in February ’08, Advanced Toastmaster Bronze in April ’08 and my Advanced Toastmaster Silver in June ’09. I am on my way to completing my Advanced Gold award. I have also been club Vice President of Membership, Vice President of Public Relations and President – twice.

Why Toastmasters?  I’m a people person and have several businesses all geared to helping people in their personal and professional lives. In fact I became involved with Toastmasters just so that I could take along two other people. I knew it would be good for them!! Little did I realize how good it would be for me. I love it. I have learned so much and laughed more than I thought possible.

My role at the conference? Remember I told you about the people thing? Well that’s what I’m doing. I’ll be helping to run the registration desk, scoop up lost souls, answer questions, meet and greet and generally make sure everyone knows where they’re going and when they need to be there.

This conference is for everyone. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve just begun, thinking about joining or you’re an old timer ( hmm no comment), after going to my first conference last year, I can’t wait for this one. Lots of fun ( read Gillian’s frivolities programme) packed with information, great people and amazing speakers. Be there. Treat yourself to a magical memory
