District Executive Approve The Venue

The White Rose Conference team has worked hard over the past 21 months to ensure we have a venue that will be something special for the delegates.

The conference team chose the Royal Hotel, York because we believe it meets the high standards we set out at the beginning of this journey to host the White Rose Conference.

This belief has been supported by our District Governor, Joe Gibbs, who visited the Hotel and met the team earlier this year. He, and his wife Marina, were impressed by both the hotel and York itself. Whilst here Joe & Marina also took time to attend the ‘late’ Christmas dinner that Strictly Speaking Harrogate were hosting.

In early September, we are welcoming Teresa Dukes, Lieutenant Governor – Education & Training, to York to see the venue and to update the team on the workshops to be provided. Whilst Teresa is ‘up north’ we are hosting a BBQ to allow local members to come a meet a member of the District Executive.
